Protein Folding
Our group works mostly on the protein folding problem. The accepted theory known as energy landscape, uses the funnel potential energy as a fundamental concept in the understanding of protein folding. Using minimalist and coarse-grained models we address basic aspects of the problem such as role of hydrophobicity, frustration, hydrophobicity and topology in folding process, and visualization and quantitative descriptors for the folding funnel.
